In compliance with the concluded contracts on maintenance, Iskra's professionals maintain, upgrade, renew and update fire protection systems in approximately 110 such buildings and they also perform user training. In the field of fire safety great technical progress has been made in the course of years. Iskra's professionals are replacing old ionization detectors emitting radioactivity with more modern optical and thermal detectors, which are more people friendly. In the field of social activities, Iskra's experts have replaced approximately a half of the old detectors, which are adequately stored in compliance with the European regulation. The people responsible are aware that the replacement of the old detectors is necessary; however, due to the limitation of financial assets, the old detectors in other public institutions will be replaced in a few years time.
